What Parents Are Saying About This Sex Education Video…
Watching this video really opened my eyes about talking to my son about sex. He is 10 and I haven’t really had any conversations with him. I think I’ve been waiting for him to ask! Amy helped me understand the sooner, the better, how important it is to clarify my own values, and the wisdom of providing information before he actually needs it. I think I’m ready to initiate our first Birds & Bees conversation. This video helped me gain the confidence to do that.

I have to say that talking about sex with my kids is something that I am not 100% comfortable with. I know that Amy Lang, the creator of this video as well as many other great resources, states that this should not be as daunting a task as most parents feel that it is, but for me, the idea of this was a bit embarrassing and I had no idea how I would approach it with my daughters. Birds & Bees & Kids – The Basics is a great sex education video that opened my eyes to tips and ideas on how to open the dialogue with my kids about the topic in small increments. It also gave some great ideas for how to maintain and encourage the open dialogue that allows kids to ask questions along the way (which we know that they all have).
What I love about Amy and her products is that she shares her expertise not only from the standpoint from being an expert, but also in the fact that she is a mom herself! She also brings in so many real-life examples that are both humorous and down-to-earth and you can really appreciate the balance that she brings to this video, both the 20 years of experience as a sexual health educator as well as her experience as a mom.
I highly recommend this video to any parent that is concerned about “The Talk” or about how to better facilitate conversations with your children in regards to sex. As we all know, our time with our kids is fleeting and it will be over before we know it. Make the most of the time and start having meaningful conversations now!
