Even though sex feels really great, sex isn’t for kids. It’s for when you are older. Kids’ bodies, hearts and minds aren’t ready for sex. We’ll have lots of conversations about this stuff so when it’s time for you, you’ll be ready.
It’s important to wait a long time before you have sex because you can make a baby! Babies are a really big responsibility that you need to be really ready for. Most of the time people have sex because it feels good and they are not trying to make a baby.
Gay and lesbian couples have sex too. There are all kinds of ways to be sexual with someone – it’s not just penises going in vaginas. We’ll talk more about this as you get older.
I hope you will wait until you are…(married, in college, in a loving committed relationship) before you take this step.
