Labor Day Should Celebrate Birth Mothers!

It seems to me mamas who birth their babies should be celebrated on Labor Day. I think it really is the ultimate form of labor, having done it once myself, at home. The end result, after 32 hours, being a healthy 9.6 lb baby boy.

So, I’ll start my own little alternative Labor Day and send Labor Day greetings to all you women who’ve labored – at home, on the road, in birth centers and hospitals.

And especially to those of you who labored so someone else could become a parent.

Thanks and  Happy Labor Day!
